Re-certification Achieved
Australis Engineering have been ISO9001 and ISO31000 certified since 2007 and as part of the regular, external auditing of our ISO certifications, we recently underwent our major, 3-yearly certification audit. The audit was conducted by International Certifications and resulted in Australis once again being successful in achieving our certifications.
Are your suppliers ISO certified?
Managing Director Peter Gustafson says that ISO certifications are critical to the business success of Australis. Since becoming certified in 2007 Australis Engineering have been able to successfully compete for and win projects with top tier clients, including government clients and blue chip companies. “Without our ISO certifications we would not be able to tender for major work such as the Royal Australian Mint circulating coin production and warehousing project that we successfully delivered in 2010” says Gustafson. “Our Quality and Risk systems start from the top, with the owners and directors 100% committed to establishing and implementing a quality system that flows through all aspects of our business from our sales, engineering and manufacturing to our accounting, stock control, HR and financial practices,” says Gustafson. “Our staff are however key to the success of the ISO implementation, with all staff regularly contributing towards the continuous improvement process that is a big part of retaining the ISO certifications”, he said.
“Clients obviously consider that suppliers that have achieved ISO certification are less risk, because they have systems and procedures in place to external standards that help them deliver their projects on time and on budget,” says Gustafson. So the compelling question remains – regardless of the the size of your business, if you are looking to engage a supplier to deliver a project, why would you risk a company that is not ISO certified?
