Ease of Installation

The standard spiral conveyor is designed to perfectly fit into a container which helps reduce shipping time ex-Taiwan. The ready-to-run Conveyor can be shipped on a pallet; when arriving on site, it simply requires positioning (the weight of conveyor is so light that can be lifted by a hand pallet truck), levelling and electrical connection. The ease of installation saves you labour costs.

Unit Load Spiral Conveyors

NEXUS Unit load spiral conveyor, one of the most popular material handling spiral conveyors in the market, both in food and non-food industry, light-duty and heavy-duty conditions, it is proved to be effective.

The Unit load spiral conveyor is equipped with 400 mm or 600 mm width slat chains, the other width can be also processed. To ensure the quality, all the slats chains are designed and produced by Nexus.

Features of the Unit Load Spiral Conveyor:

Flexible layout

The most common slat chain width of NEXUS unit load spiral conveyor is 400mm and 600mm, not more than 2000mm outer diameter, resulting in a wide range of applications for package handling.

Technical Data

Flexible layout.
Standard specification of slat chain is 420mm (available width is 400mm)and 620mm (available width is 600)
The maximum number of turns is 10.
Outer diameter of type 400 is 1,800mm. Outer diameter of type 600 is 2,000mm.

Inlet/outlet configuration

Speed: Maximum speed of the Unit Load Spiral Conveyors is 60m/min. Note an automatic lubricator should be installed to prolong the conveyor life when speed exceeds 35m/min.
Load capacity: The maximum load capacity depends on the tensile force on the transmission chain, and there are two kinds of transmission chain available, please refer the data in Brochure Tab.
Material: Spiral conveyors material: Mild steel painted / Stainless steel. Transmission Chain material: Mild steel painted / Stainless steel
Low Maintenance Automatic lubrication device and chain over-length sensors are installed in each Unit Load Spiral Conveyor to minimise maintenance.
SEW motor as standard. Other brands available as an option.
A control box is not standard as we find most clients need to integrated it into their whole material handling system, and they will do the electronic control systems themselves.
Frame. The frame is designed and made of stainless steel or mild steel painted (double-coated, primer + topcoat). These materials ensure that products are durable and have a long product life.

Slat chain

The slat chain is made from composite plastic material, which has the physical characteristics of high rigidity, high impact resistance and low friction. It can reduce the abrasion in the process of accumulation, as well as improving the stability and service life. Modular design simplify the work of maintenance and replacement.

Easy assembly

Without special tools or complicated procedure it can be assembled in transmission chain.

Hassle-free maintenance

Modular design of the slat chain makes the replacement and maintenance as easy as playing Lego. You can purchase new slat chain from NEXUS to replace the old one; In the event of an emergency, you can also replace the worn parts (bearings and transmission chains) with same specification products as specified in our manual.

Outstanding load capacity and smooth operation

The Zigzag shape modules are of patented design: they interlace with each other and fit into the inter-space perfectly, avoiding interference caused by objects falling into the gap in operation. Load capacity is also enhanced because of the double-overlapping design.

Slat Chain with TPR (Rubber cover)

Rubber cover (TPR) with high friction coefficient can be added on surface of slat chain. It is advised to be used in upwards/downwards spiral conveyor with incline/decline angle exceed 37°.
With low friction coefficient on the surface of plastic, incline angle for products made from plastic,Iron and Aluminum should be less than 7.2° to insure the most steady conveying.
For cartons and other products with PE film, the incline angle should be less than 11.5°.
Once the speed exceed 45M/min, the incline angle should be reduced 5% for each 5M/min acceleration.
In special high/low temperature environment, rubber cover (TPR) is not available for use.

Narrow Track Spiral Conveyors

NEXUS Narrow Track Spiral Conveyors, the compact design of it brings minimized foot print and power consumption, and are especially suitable for the light-duty conveying of small size objects.

The Narrow Track Spiral Conveyor is equipped with 135 mm or 165 mm slat chains, to ensure the quality, all these slat chains are designed and produced by NEXUS.

Features of narrow track spiral conveyor

Small footprint.The Narrow Track Spiral Conveyor is one of the most compact vertical conveyor with small footprint, it can be used in limited space

Colour: Standard as “Classic” colour. Other colours (including your nominated colour) are generally available as an option.

Friction rubber cover (TPR) can be added on surface of slat chain depends on the inclined angle and loads.

Incline angle advice:

Rubber cover (TPR) with high friction coefficient can be added on surface of slat chain. It is advised to be used in upwards/downwards spiral conveyor with incline/decline angle exceeds 37°.

Dual Track Spiral Conveyors

NEXUS Dual track spiral conveyor, two independent tracks driven by two motors which doubles the throughput compared to other single track spirals. The operation of each track is flexible, and adapts to the diversified needs of modern factory.

Different track widths of the slat chain are optional. To ensure highest quality standards, all slat chains are designed and produced by NEXUS.

Features of dual track spiral conveyor:
